N100 series Reloading Powders are single base powders used mainly in rifle calibres. The series N100 powders are primarily rifle powders, with suitable speeds to optimize handloading from the tiny .17 Remington and .22 Hornet all the way to the monster bashing .458 Winchester Magnum.

There are ten speeds in this series and I have three, on special:

N500 series High Energy Reloading Powders • impregnated extruded rifle powders with Nitroglycerol added as extra energy component Adding nitroglycerol to the traditional single base powder makes possible in addition to geometry and coating a third controlled variable of ballistic properties: energy content. Vihtavuori calls powders which have nitroglycerol added (maximum 25 %) high energy NC-powders, which form N500 series. The composition of a typical high energy powder is as follows: • nitrocellulose • nitroglycerol • coating agent • stabilizer • flame reducing agent • wear reducing agent Geometrically the powders in the N500 series are equal to the N100 series. Although these new powders have a higher energy content, they do not cause greater wear to the gun. This is because the surface of the powder has been treated with an agent designed to reduce barrel wear. N500 series powders work well at different temperatures, even better than the traditional N100 and N300 series. Temperature sensitivity naturally depends very much on the weapon and on the cartridge. The manufacturing technique employed permits a very high bulk density, which in turn makes it possible to use a bigger charge in a certain limited loading volume.

Beretta A303 12ga gas operated semi-auto shotgun. Secondhand.

Beretta semi-auto 12ga shotgun for sale on behalf.
The A303 would be one of the last of the guns which appear to have no plastic parts and was obviously made to last.

This gun has been fitted with Uncle Mikes Quick Detachable Sling Swivel Studs so attaching or detaching a QD sling makes for a comfortable carry either way.

The factory 28" vent-rib barrel is chambered for 3" cartridges and comes with five interchangeable chokes, and it has a preserving rod in the bore.

New in 1990, this gun is in tidy condition for its age with a number of small marks in the varnish finish, some scratches in the bluing and a small rub mark from the case, on the top of the receiver. The chrome lined bore looks to be in absolutely new condition.

Conetrol scope mount bases

In stock, I still have a large selection of Conetrol one piece and two piece bases in "Huntur" "Gunnur" and "Custum" grades, but I have, effectively, run out of one inch rings. The Swarovski ATX and STX series of modular spotting scopes is an innovative way of having the right combination of size or weight, together with magnification for any perceived operational requirements.

Simply select the body you need, or are able to carry, and couple it with a straight eyepiece for flat country work or an angled eyepiece for prone and mountain work such as hunting. Konus Spotting Scope 20-60x80mm

The Konus 80mm objective spotting scope with angled eyepiece and 20 - 60x zoom eyepiece, comes with its own table-top tripod.
As mentioned above in the text for the 65mm model, this brand of spotting scope is my pick in the budget end of the market and has been for several years now. ADI Trail Boss powder 1.5Kg size

This is the powder of choice for light loads used in Cowboy Action Shooting and is also excellent for sub-sonic rifle loads in some calibres.
The donut ring shape of each piece of this very special powder means that even with the light loads which this powder is EXCLUSIVELY intended for, there will be a significantly greater percentage of the case filled than with the other fast burning powders previously used in light loads.
This feature should eliminate the problem of inconsistent ignition caused when the primer flame-front passes over small quantities of powder lying in the bottom of the case when the weapon is fired in the horizontal plane.

Using Trail Boss powder for subsonic loads in .308 Winchester, the cost of powder per load was under 7 cents, based upon my old price for this powder.

Alliant Black MZ. Black Powder Substitute.

The first shipment of this great product never even made it on to my website.
Our allocation from this shipment, although generous in relation to the limited amount which actually got to New Zealand, is probably not going to last very long either.

This powder is proving to about the best black powder substitute yet for cartridge loading. Reports are all positive and include: great cleanliness; fewer missfires (if any); not troubled by moisture or temperature; produces good smoke, and it is accurate.

Especially suited to cartridge loading using scoops. It burns cleaner than previous products which is a very welcome feature. Not so convenient trying to pour from flasks.

Alliant Black MZ is the equivalent of black powder FFg. Black MZ is used like black powder by volume for muzzleloaders. If you are looking for load data for metallic cartridges, we can obtain some limited data for 45-70, 45 Colt, 44 Magnum, 44 Special and 38 Special.
Otherwise, for a muzzleloader if you have a pet load for black powder, use the same amount by volume of Black MZ.
Note: Since Alliant Black MZ is a similar consistency to FFg, it will not work well for cap and ball pistols or in the flash pans of flintlocks as these take finer powders.

The Holland's Primer Pocket Uniformer tool is designed to ensure that primer pockets are cut to the correct SAAMI depth specifications, cleaning out built up carbon residue from previous firings and squaring the bottom of the primer pocket with respect to the case head. Kroil (by Kano Laboratories)

Kroil,[an acronym for creeping oil, using a K for Kano instead of C] is made by Kano, primarily as a penetrating oil. However, it has also become a favourite bore cleaning product amongst benchrest shooters, simply because it works!
Buy it as a penetrating oil and you will be impressed; use it also. as a bore cleaner, to lift out the most stubborn fouling and you will be even more pleased with your purchase. Give a can a try and see what you have been missing.
About half of my can always seems to get used for other uses around the house and garage but it is still there when I need it for use in a customer's hard-to-clean "problem" barrel. Do the final clean with Kroil; patch dry and go shooting, or apply a thin coat of EEZOX if the firearm is ready to be stored. Although some folk rely on Kroil as a lubricant and a rust preventive, my advice is to use the EEZOX for these two requirements. EEZOX excells at both. Read the EEZOX review. This copper wire wound loop was made for Kilwell to fit Parker Hale and Kilwell cleaning rods.
It is for .30 to .35 calibres.

Loops are ideal for applying bore solvents with a loose patch and are preferred to jags for this purpose because jags are made for a tight fit for removing solvents and residue. A tight fitted patch defeats the purpose of trying to distribute solvents into a barrel. Apply with a loose patch and loop; remove with a tight patch on a jag.
